Transforming Lives Through the Atela Water Project

One of ATN-K’s flagship achievements has been the successful implementation of the Atela Water Project in Kabondo, Homa Bay County.

Working in partnership with Water Mission, ATN-K supported the drilling of a borehole that now provides clean, safe drinking water to more than 5,090 people. The project also connected surrounding villages and three schools to the water distribution system, significantly improving access to clean water for learners, teachers, and families.

This initiative has helped reduce the prevalence of waterborne diseases, improved school attendance, and relieved women and children from the burden of travelling long distances to collect water. It stands as a model of how collaborative, community-driven solutions can transform lives. This achievement is reflected in ATN-K’s organizational profile.
